Please bring two/2 (one each) kitchen and office gadgets. Make sure the kitchen appliances are electric and have visual weight and various textures to them. A combination of plastic, glass (or transparent plastic) and metal surfaces would be great.
Make sure you ALL bring two examples of these. Please don't accrue my wrath and not bring something or join up as a group and bring a few cheesy pieces in thinking you can get around this. Ridicule will be used in liberal amounts if you cant follow these simple examples. I attached pictures but again these are just guidelines.
Don't bring in any thing to big, fragile or flat (like scissors) or filthy. As to the filthy note please clean stuff up. I did this assignment many-moons ago and I was always surprised all the greasy, dirty, slippery equipment people brought in (someone once brought in a fryer with week old french fries caked on the bottom). Doesn't have to be new or even work but make sure you can pass it around class if the situation/trading needed.
Bring your brown paper sketchbooks, micron & other pens, various black colored pencils, erasers, white gel pens and any other things you might need to draw. DONT show up with one pencil, some scraps of paper and a bad excuse. We are going to be going through how to draw lighting, shadows and highlights on various surfaces.
